This 5-day in-person painting workshop will enable you to create emotive paintings using classical and contemporary painting techniques in oils. We'll cover the formal elements of representational painting, such as form, tone, value, color matching, edges, proportions, and composition. Plus, we'll provide guidance on how to cross over into the world of conceptual art using representational portraiture as a springboard. During the workshop, we'll provide a photo shoot for source image referencing, ongoing demos by Shana and David, and one-on-one guidance. All levels are welcome!

Workshop Structure:
Thursday 10am-4pm: Meet and greet, photo shoot, workspace set-up and image transfer
Friday 10am-4pm: painting
Saturday 10am-4pm: painting
Sunday 10am-4pm: painting
Monday 10-4pm: painting, clean up, and class discussion
