In this 1-day ONLINE oil painting demo, contemporary figurative painter Shana Levenson will teach students how to paint the cropped figure that capture the story in an interesting composition.
We will successfully create emotive cropped paintings using classical and contemporary oil painting techniques. Students will be guided technically and challenged to think conceptually on how to tell a story with interesting cropped figurative compositions. This workshop will address the formal elements of representational painting (form, tone, value, color mixing, edges, proportions, and composition, etc).
This portion is for VIEW ONLY students. No participation or critiques offered. Students will get the recorded demo to keep and you don't have to be there for the live demo.

This 1 day workshop also includes a lecture about how to crop a compelling figurative reference, fully instructed recorded demo that will be fully explained. All levels welcome!
